Meet Jesus
Why am I here? What is my purpose? Something is missing in my life but I can’t figure out what it is, I have already achieved the American dream. Do these thoughts plague your mind?
You were created with a divine purpose and plan designed specifically for you from before the foundation of the world by God Himself. Before you can walk in the complete fullness of your purpose you must have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ with is discussed below.
“Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.” – Acts 16:31
The Bible says that because God so loved the world HE GAVE us a way to have relationship with Him, Jesus. The relationship starts with giving; God gave His son, now you give up your right to rule your own life and give Jesus the right over your decisions, relationships, time, talents, abilities, and all areas of life.
This kind of giving begins by repentance and prayer.
Repentance is a turning…a change. When you join with Jesus, you turn from a life of rebellion and selfishness to a life of submission to God’s will and purpose for you.
Prayer is the easy part. Open your mouth and mean what you say,
Jesus I believe in You, I need You and I want You in my life. Please forgive me of my sin, wash the junk in my life away, and set me free. Thanks that You gave Your life to me; now I’ll give my life to You.
Fill me with the Holy Spirit and give me a passion for the lost, a hunger for the things of God and a holy boldness to preach Your Gospel to others. I’m saved; I’m forgiven I’m on Your side because You’re in my heart. Lord please increase my desire for You.
Once you’ve joined with Jesus these things become vitally important:
Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. We do this by developing a relationship with Him in prayer and worship (alone and with other Christians) through reading the Bible and through loving and helping hurting people.
Get connected to a Local Church Body. We do this to learn and grow closer to the Lord in a healthy, accountable way. The Body of Christ is an army with many members all connected growing closer to the Lord together.
